Gail Means, age 64, died at John C Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, AZ on March 14, 2012. Gail Elizabeth Rohrer was born on June 12, 1947 at Sioux City, IA to Vertus and Kathryn (Preston) Rohrer. She married Frank Means in January 1967. She is survived by two daughters. Carmen (David) Keefe of Wolsey, SD and Heather (Scott) Hubbell of Colton, SD. Four grandchildren. One brother - Paul (Gladys) Rohrer of Glendale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 19, 2012 at West Nidaros Lutheran Church in Crooks, SD with Rev Pat Lehrer officiating. Inurnment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Madison, SD at a later date. She grew up in Sioux Falls graduating from Washington High School in 1965. She received a bachelors degree from Augustana in 1972 and masters degree from SDSU. She taught foreign language for 14 years at Madison High School and taught for 20 years in the Sioux Falls School District before retiring in May 2011. There will be a prayer service at 2:00 PM on Sunday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel in Madison which is in charge of the arrangements.
