Chung Ye Hartman

Chung Ye Hartman, age 65, died at her residence on December 13, 2011 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on April 3, 1946 at Mok Po, South Korea. She married Roger Hartman at Seoul, South Korea on September 3, 1969. She is survived her husband - Roger of Madison. One daughter - Amy Hartman of Concord, NC and one son - Mark (Cindy) of Williamsburg, VA. five grandchildren. Her mother - Soo Nim Cho and four brothers - Cheng Bogi Cho, Cheng Chil Cho, Cheng Hyun Cho, Cheon Soo Cho all of South Korea. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at St Thomas Aquinas Church in Madison with Rev Robert Vinslauski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She grew up in Mok Po where she graduated from high school. She served in the Army of the Republic of South Korea for 2 years. She came to the United States in 1970 and became a citizen in 1977. She lived in Sioux Falls from 1975 to 1977 when they moved to Canistota. They moved to Madison in 1987 where she worked as a dietician at the Madison Community Hospital. She also worked at May and Scofield, Falcon Plastics and as a dietary aid at Bethel Home. There will be a parish scripture service at 7:00 PM on Tuesday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
