Braxton Wermers, age 19, died unexpectedly at his residence in Mitchell of natural causes on May 31, 2010.
He was born on September 23, 1990 at Sioux Falls to Troy Wermers and Michelle Schlisner. He grew up in Ramona where he graduated from Ramona High School in 2009. He participated in football, basketball, track and baseball. He was planning to attend Mitchell Vocational School in the fall. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Madison Golf and Country Club. He also spent many hours working on the Schlisner farm near Ramona.
He is survived by an infant daughter - Mackenzie and her mother - Heather Williams. His parents - Troy Wermers of Madison and Michelle Bursing of Columbus, NE. Two brothers - Chandler Bursing and Carter Wermers and one sister - Callie Bursing. His grandparents - Graydon and Cheryl Schlisner of Ramona. June (Arthur) Gwynne of Madison, Roger (Joyce) Wermers of Estelline, SD. Great grandparents - Dorothy Schlisner of Ramona, Robert Frager of Sioux Falls.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Ramona School Gym in Ramona with Rev Becky Senner officiating. Burial will be in the Ramona Cemetery.
There will be a prayer service at 7:00PM on Thursday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
