Evalyn Parker, age 99, died at Golden Living Center on February 18, 2010. Evalyn Frances Byrne was born on May 9, 1910 at Madison to William and Eva (Venner) Byrne. She married Chase Parker at Minneapolis, MN on June 26, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1979. She is survived by one son - Don of Madison. Four daughters - Bonnie Gueffroy of San Dimas, CA, Kay Allen of Lake Stevens, WA, Judy (Mike) Larsen of Madison and Sally (Mike) Herbert of Columbia Falls, MT. 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. One brother - Bill Byrne and one sister - Lucille Williams both of Madison. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters and a grandson. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, February 22, 2010 at St Thomas Aquinas Church with Rev Robert Vinslauski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She grew up on a farm in Orland Township. She graduated from Orland High School. She did her nurses training in Ft Pierre. She worked as a Registered Nurse and at JC Penney’s. She also ran a day care and did baby sitting. She was a member of the St Thomas Altar Society and the Garden Club. There will be a parish scripture service at 7:00 PM on Sunday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
