Christopher Fiegen, age 39, died as the result of an automobile accident in Miami, Florida on February 14, 2010. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on August 24, 1970 to Pat and Dorothy (Nelson) Fiegen. He married Janna DeVito at Buffalo, SD on September 14, 2001. He is survived by his wife - Janna of Loxahstchee, Fl. Two daughters - Jade and Chloe both at home. His parents - Pat and Dorothy Fiegen of Buffalo, SD. Three brothers - Steve (Melissa) of Abbotsford, WI, Jon (Gem) and Mark both of Madison. Three sisters - Tammy (Bobby) Mortenson of Onawa, IA, Becky Fiegen of Madison and Debbie (Eric) Millett of Belle Fourche, SD. He was preceded in death by his son - Chance in 2005. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at St Thomas Aquinas Church in Madison with Rev Robert Vinslauski officiating. Burial will be in St Mary’s Cemetery at Dell Rapids. He grew up in Madison graduating from Lincoln Elementary before moving to Buffalo where he graduated from Harding County High School in 1989. He then went to work as a professional Jockey where he raced throughout the United States and Canada compiling more that 800 wins. He was a member of the US Jockey Guild. There will be a parish scripture service at 5:00 PM on Friday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
