Berdene Reitzel, age 78, died at Estelline Care Center, Estelline, SD on January 7, 2010. Berdene Etta Boswell was born on January 14, 1931 at Castlewood, SD to Ted and Florence (Lammers) Boswell. She married Kenneth Reitzel at Castlewood on November 12, 1951. He preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by one son - Owen (Lori) Reitzel of Alexandria, SD and two daughters - Julie Reitzel of Chicago, IL and Shanna Wisch of Arlington, MN. Three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev Terrance Drew officiating. Burial will be in the Castlewood Cemetery. She grew up in Castlewood graduating from Castlewood High School. They lived in Esteline, Hurley, Willow Lake and Colman before moving to Madison in 1966. They lived in Madison until moving to Castlewood in 2007. The family will be present at 6:00 PM on Monday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel in Madison which is in charge of the arrangements.
