Dale Baasch

Dale D. Baasch, age 65, died at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls on January 3, 2010. He was born on June 25, 1944 at Valley City, ND to Clayton and Beatrice (Hoffmeyer) Baasch. He married Evelyn Hoenhause at Lisbon on July 10, 1965. She preceded him in death in 2005. He married Lisa Bunde at Madison on April 7, 2007. He is survived by his wife - Lisa of Madison and two sons - Dean and Daleyn both of Lisbon, ND and one daughter - Jennifer (Scott) Polhemus of Perry, MI. eight grandchildren. Three brothers - Jim of Oakes, ND, Stuart of Broadview, MT and Dennis of Buffalo, WY. Three sisters - Diana Vagle of Valley City, ND, Jeannette Hansen and Kathleen Hoenhause both of Lisbon. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Madison with Rev Ryan Mutzenberger officiating. Burial will be in Page Cemetery, Page, ND. He grew up in North Dakota graduating from Tower City High School in 1962. He served in the North Dakota National Guard and farmed near Lisbon. He moved to Madison in 2007 but continued farming in Ransom County, North Dakota. He was a member of the Madison United Methodist Church and Standing Rock Lutheran Church at Ft Ransom. He also served on the Lisbon Fire Department. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 PM on Tuesday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
