Beverly Schirmacher, age 75, died at the Madison Community Hospital on October 22, 2009. Beverly Symons was born on November 24, 1933 at Ironwood, MI to Philip and Kate (Nichols) Symons. She married William Schirmacher on November 1, 1953 at Mooresville, IN. He preceded her in death in 2006. She is survived by two daughters - Geri (Clellie) Lembcke of Madison and Gwenn Schirmacher of Wolf Point, Mt. Two sons - Mark (Rose) of Lynd, MN and James (Sandy) of Viborg, SD. 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. One brother - Bobby Symons of Bessmer, MI and two sisters - Darla Lazowski of Ironwood, MI and Betty Pollari of Libertyville, IL. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son - William Jr in infancy, a grand daughter - Elizabeth , one brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the United Methodist Church with Rev Ryan Mutzenberger officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. She grew up and attended school in Michigan. She moved to Madison in 1967 where she worked as a teachers aid in the Madison school system. She was a past president of the VFW Auxiliary. There will be a prayer service and VFW Auxiliary service at 7:00 PM on Monday at the Weiland Funeral which is in charge of the arrangements.
