Don Sterzinger, age 64, died unexpectedly at the Madison Community Hospital on August 7, 2009. Donald David Sterzinger was born on March 29, 1945 at Hendricks, MN. He married Karen Willprecht at Madison, SD on January 22, 1966. He is survived by his wife - Karen of Madison. Three grandchildren. His mother - Elener Sterzinger of Tyler, MN. One brother - Vince of Madison and one sister - Lynda Lanners of Clear Lake, SD. Daughter in Law Mallissa Sterzinger of Colman. He was preceded in death by his father - Joe, a daughter - Tammy in 1992 and a son - Todd in 2006. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev Robert Vinslauski officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery. He grew up on a farm near Hendricks, MN graduating from Ivanhoe High School in 1963. He moved to Madison in 1966 where he worked as a mechanic for Prostrollo Motors, Jensen Motors and Newcomb Motors before starting his own business - Don’s Garage in 1979. He was a avid race fan and also enjoyed restoring cars. There will be a parish scripture service at 7:00 PM on Monday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
