Kenneth Doering, age 77, died at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 21, 1931 at Madison to Harry and Elta (Winesburg) Doering. He married Edna Sample at Madison on June 17, 1957. He is survived by his wife - Edna of Madison. One son - Kirk (Carolyn) of Helena, AR. Two daughters - Sandra (Matt) Onnen of Brandon and Pam Friede of Madison. seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One brother - Gerald of Franklin, NC and one sister Jean Ingemansen of Brookings. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday August 3, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev Sandra Larson officiating. Burial with Military Honours will be in Graceland Cemetery. He grew up in Madison graduating from Beadle High School in 1949. He served in the US Air Force in Japan during the Korean War. He returned to Madison and farmed in Lake County all of his life. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Madison VFW. The family will be present at 7:00 PM on Sunday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
