Irene Deragisch, age 84, died at the Madison Community Hospital on April 18, 2009. Irene Eva Wolf was born on June 8, 1924 at Ramona, SD to August and Josephine (Rensch) Wolf. She married Donald A Deragisch at Ramona on November 21, 1948. He preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by one son - Donald Joe of Ramona and two brothers - Earl Wolf of Prescott, AZ and Dan Wolf of Omaha, NE. Six sisters - Ann Minneart, Loretta Shocker and Betty Bidwell all of Madison, Mary Martin of San Diego, CA and Kay Casanova of Ramona. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son in infancy, a daughter and five sisters and four brothers. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at St Thomas Aquinas Church with Rev Robert Vinslauski officiating. Burial will be in St Ann Cemetery, Badus Township. She grew up in Ramona where she graduated from Ramona HIgh School in 1942. She moved to Los Angeles and worked in a airplane factory during WW II. She returned to Ramona. She worked as a nurse aid at the Madison Community Hospital for 20 years. She was a volunteer rosary maker and member of St Thomas Altar Society. There will be Parish Scripture service at 7:00 PM on Tuesday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
