Carol Swanson, age 54, died at Golden living Center in Madison on September 20, 2008. Carol Jean Hach was born on January 1, 1954 at McLaughlin, SD to Roland and Luella (Schnider) Hach. She married Lynn Swanson at McLaughlin on May 3, 1974. She is survived by one daughter - Vanessa Swanson of Sioux Falls. Two grandchildren - Aurora and David. One brother - Dale Hach of Spencer, Iowa and two sisters - Melody Gilmore of Spencer and Jackie Hach of Sioux City, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, a brother and a daughter in infancy. She grew up in McLaughlin graduating from Fort Yates High School. She worked at Swartz Drug Store in Mobridge and at Midwest Motors in Webster before she took up residence in the Kingsbury Manor in Lake Preston where she lived for nine years before moving to Golden Living Center in June of this year. There will be a private family committal service in Reliance, SD.
