Gary Dinges, age 59, died unexpectedly at his residence at Ramona on September 4, 2008. He was born on May 6, 1949 at Ramona to Clyde and Anna Rose (Casanova) Dinges. He married Nancy Whitethorn at Ramona on August 21, 1971. He is survived by his wife - Nancy of Ramona. One son - Tony (Kori) of Sioux Falls and one daughter - Kristie (Michael) Evans of Watertown. Four grandchildren. One brother - Roger of Hollis, OK and five sisters - Marlene Culhane of Oak Park, IL, Cheryl Engel of Sioux Falls, Beverly (Forest) Hubers and Janice (Merlin) Lembcke both of Brandon and Mary (Jim) Kattke of Black Hawk, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at St William Catholic Church in Ramona with Rev Michael Schneider officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. He grew up in Ramona graduating from Ramona High School in 1967. They lived in St Petersburg, Alaska from 1973 until 1978 when then moved back to Ramona. He worked as a truck driver for the next 20 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Ramona School Board and Ramona Town Board. There will a parish scripture service to be followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:30 pm on Monday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel.
