Delores Hemmelman, age 73, died at the Madison Community Hospital on May 28, 2008. Delores Ann Stehr was born on April 15, 1935 at Madison to George and Esther (Jensen) Stehr. She married Donald Hemmelman on June 24, 1956 at Madison. She is survived by her husband - Donald of Madison and one son - Dorin (Dawn) of Sioux Falls. Two daughters - Dana Hemmelman and Denise (Don) Schaefer both of Sioux Falls. Six grandchildren Two sisters - Carol Jones of Madison and Sonja Stehr of Circle Pines, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at St John Lutheran Church with Rev Daryl Schubert officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. She grew up in Madison graduating from Beadle High School in 1953. She received a teaching certificate from General Beadle State College and taught for one year in Howard. She worked for over 20 years as a receptionist for Dr Owen Tommeraasen. She was a life member of St John Lutheran Church where she served on the church council, WELCA and Quilters. She was a avid camper belonging to the Happy Kampers, Sandpipers and Prairie Travelers camping clubs. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 pm on Friday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
