Dorothy Nelson, age 88, died at Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home on April 4, 2008. Dorothy Betty Schultz was born on September 10, 1919 in Clarno Township, Lake County, SD to Willie and Betty (Malm) Schultz. She married C. M. “Miles” Nelson at Pipestone, MN on August 7, 1945. She is survived by her husband - Miles of Madison. Three sons - Gary (Barb) of Sioux Falls, Ron and Keith (Jane) both of Madison. eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. One brother - Darrell (Pat) Schultz of Sioux Falls and one sister - Adelia (Bill) Campbell of Plattsville, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, April 7, 2008 at St John Lutheran Church with Rev Daryl Schubert officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. She grew up in Clarno township. She farmed with her husband west of Madison until they moved to Madison in 2004. She was a member of St John WELCA and the “Young at Heart Club”. The family will be present at 4:00 PM on Sunday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
