Robert "Bob" Driscoll, age 60, died at the Royal C Johnson Veterans Medical Center in Sioux Falls on February 15, 2008. Robert James Driscoll was born on May 1, 1947 at Madison to Walter and Margaret (Duffy) Driscoll. He married Minerva Anderson at DeSmet, SD on June 8, 1973. He is survived by his wife - Minerva of Madison Two sons - Jason (Lisa) and Brett both of Madison. One grandson - Christopher. His mother - Margaret of Madison. Two brothers - Leslie of Madison and Duane (Coco) of Sioux Falls. Two sisters - Diane Johnson of Sioux Falls and Janice Driscoll of Gulf Port, MI. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at St Thomas Aquinas Church with Rev Robert Vinslauski officiating. Burial with military honors by Madison VFW will be in the church cemetery. He grew up in Oldham graduating from Oldham High School in 1965. He received a bachelors degree from General Beadle State College (Dakota State University) in 1969. He then served 18 months in Vietnam with the US Army. He worked for 35 years for the City of Madison as an engineer technician retiring in 2005. He was life member of Post 2638 VFW and Oldham American Legion. He was also a member of the Madison Elks, Madison Golf and County Club. He was an avid hunter and shot trap for many years. There will be a parish scripture service at 7:30 pm on Tuesday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel.
