Donald Bunker, age 81, died at the Madison Community Hospital on August 26, 2007. He was born on February 12, 1926 at DeSmet, SD to John and Ellen (Halley) Bunker. He married Joyce Twedt at Oldham, SD on December 31, 1949. He is survived by his wife - Joyce of Howard, six sons - Daniel of Denver, Donald (Jodie) of Rapid City, David (Judy) of Colton, Steve of Northport, MI, Ronald of Ramona and Jeremy (Michelle) of Sioux Falls, five daughters - Sandy (Robin) Burnison of Madison, Dawn (Blake) Jensen of Arlington, Lori (Paul) Gum of Madison, Pam (Larry) Malcomb of Ramona, Paula (Todd) Olson of Madison. sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two brothers - Lloyd of Jasper, MN and Frank of Flandreau, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter - Cheryl in 1970, two brothers and six sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 30,, 2007 at St William Catholic Church in Ramona with Rev Michael Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He grew up in Arlington where he attended school. He farmed near Arlington and Ramona until he went to work for Sweetman Construction Company for nearly 30 years. He worked at the Ramona Farmers Elevator from 1988 until 1998. He has been a resident at Howard Good Samaritan Center since 2005. He was a member of the St William Church Council. There will be a Parish Scripture Service at 7:30 pm on Wednesday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
