Anna Rose Dinges, age 86, died at Avera McKennan Hospital on August 24, 2007.
Anna Rose Casanova was born on December 16, 1920 in Lake County to Hercli and Annie (Giossi) Casanova. She married Milo Mathison on January 10, 1942. He died in 1944. She married C.J. Dinges at Ramona on November 14, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1982.
She is survived by two sons - Gary (Nancy) of Ramona and Roger of Hollis, OK, Five daughters - Marlene Culhane of Oak Park IL, Cheryl Engel of Davenport, IA, Beverly (Forrest) Hubers and Janice (Merlin) Lembcke both or Brandon. Mary (Jim) Kattke of Black Hawk, SD. sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. One sisters - Marguerite Casanova of Sioux Falls.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and five sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at St William Catholic Church in Ramona with Rev Michael Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She grew up in Ramona graduating from Ramona High School. She received at teaching certificate from Eastern State Normal School and taught before she was married. She worked as a cook at F&M Cafe. She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, St William Altar Society and Ramona American Legion Auxiliary.
There will be a Parish Scripture Service at 7:30 pm on Monday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
