David Hoff

David “Dave” Hoff, age 67, died unexpectedly at his residence of a heart attack on December 24, 2006. He was born on February 18, 1939 at Madison to Lloyd and Dorothy (Thompson) Hoff. He married Peggy Matthews at Madison on September 16, 1967. He is survived by his wife - Peggy of Madison. One son - Chris (Dana) of Madison and two daughters - Kim (Brian) Dirks of Madison and Kelli (Mark) Schouwenburg of Watertown. Eight grandchildren. One brother - Don (Betty) Hoff of Madison and two sisters - Judy (Walter) Rentschler of Howard and Doris (Mike) Simon of Estelline, SD He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev Bruce Iverson officiating. Burial will be Graceland Cemetery. He grew up South of Madison graduating from Orland High School in 1957. He served in the SD National Guard. They farmed south of Madison all of his life. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He also was on the Executive Board of the SD Pork Council and Lake County Pork Council and the Lake County FSA Board. He also served on the Madison Farmers Elevator Board of Directors. The family will be present at 5:00 pm on Tuesday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel.
