Federick "Fritz" Krueger 11-30-2006
Fredrick H “Fritz Krueger, age 95, died at Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home on November 30, 2006
He was born on January 2, 1911 at Madison to Herman and Caroline (Kruse) Krueger. He grew up on a farm north of Madison. He served in the US Army Air Corps where he served in the European, African and Middle East during and after WWII. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the US Air Force Reserve in 1971 after serving 26 years.
He farmed north of Madison. He was a member of the West Center Baptist Church, Madison American Legion Post # 25, VFW Post #2683 and the Air Force Memorial Association. He was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International and also served on the Lake County Extension, Lake County Soil Conservation and the Lake County Historical Association Boards.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the West Center Baptist Church with Revs Steve Vetter and Walter Moser officiating. Burial with military honors by Madison VFW and Legion will be in Graceland Cemetery.
He is survived by numerous cousins including- Don (Vera) Kraemer, Jim (Judy) Krueger, Phyllis Frerichs and Esther Brandes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother - George and two sisters - Ruth Krueger and Evelyn Jones.
