Ardell Hanneman, age 79, died at Avera McKennan Hospice in Sioux Falls on November 25, 2006 He was born on October 31, 1927 at Madison to Herbert and Inga (Halseth) Hanneman. He married Evelyn Phelps at Madison on February 18, 1948. She preceded him in death on November 3, 2005. He is survived by one son - Terry (Nancy) of Madison and a daughter - Debra (Darrell) Gerdes of Ainsworth, NE and son in law - Jim Potvin of Henderson, NV. Five grandchildren and one great grand daughter. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a daughter - Brenda in 1996. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Monday, November 27, 2006 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev Robert Goebel officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. He grew up in Madison graduating from Eastern High School in 1946. He farmed north of Madison and continuing farming after they moved to Madison in 1989. He also worked for the A.S.C.S. and Domestic Seeds. He was a member of the Madison Elks Lodge. The family will be present at 5:00 PM on Sunday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
