Freida Gay, age 88, died at Golden Living Center on November 8, 2006. Freida Martha Matz was born on September 23, 1918 at Madison, SD to George and August (Minick) Matz. She married Robert Gay on October 4, 1967. He preceded her in death in 1980. She is survived by one daughter - Sandra (Jim) Madsen of Toronto, SD and one brother - George Matz of Detroit Lakes, MN. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister and six brothers. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Weiland Funeral Chapel with Rev Kimberly Kaveny officiating. Burial will be St Thomas Cemetery. She grew up and attended school in Dell Rapids. She lived in Madison where she ran the Home Cafe for many years. The family will be present at 7:00 pm on Friday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
