Harriet Johnson  

Harriet Johnson, age 85, died at her residence under the care of Madison Hospice on July 22, 2010. Harriet Lucille Broderick was born on June 22, 1925 at Ossian, IA to John and Valerie (Lentz) Broderick. She married Bill Johnson. He preceded her in death in 1963. She married Ed Johnson and he preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by two sons - Steve (Catherine) of Serris, France and Kelly (Marcie) of Madison. 4 grandchildren - Kaitlyn, Kelly Joy, Shannon and Erik Olson. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at St Thomas Aquinas Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She grew up in eastern Iowa moving to Madison as a young girl. She graduated from St Thomas High School in 1943. She worked at Geyermans Womens Clothing and owned her own beauty shop. She worked at the Cocktail Lounge for the past 20 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and St Thomas Aquinas Church. There will be a VFW Auxiliary service and Parish Scripture service at 7:00 PM on Monday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
